Challenge

As a health and wellness retreat, it was essential for W Algarve to have effective methods of promoting its treatments and wellness packages. Unfortunately, their marketing efforts were limited to verbal recommendations at the reception desk.

Solution

RoomRaccoon’s popular upgrade module, RaccoonUpsell was the answer to effectively get more eyes on their ancillary services and generate extra revenue. Guests are met with an online menu that presents them with a variety of services to choose from before arrival. Challenge

Due to its small size, W Algarve was facing a difficult challenge when it came to rate parity. Sites like Booking.com has the ability to provide guests registered as “Genius Bookers” with discounts – something that W Algarve could not offer on their own website

Solution

By integrating RoomRaccoon’s booking engine into its website, W Algarve could offer its guests the best available price through the discount code widget. Another solution found to address this challenge was RoomRaccoon’s integration with Google’s hotel advertising tool. Google Hotel Ads display hotel availability and prices in Google searches, directing potential guests to the hotel’s website for direct bookings. W Algarve utilized this tool to convert potential customers and enhance their results.

Result

After implementing the booking engine and Google Hotel Ads, W Algarve achieved a 49% performance in direct bookings, without having to rely on OTAs (Online Travel Agencies) and pay any commissions to secure more reservations.

Unleashing the Potential of Dynamic Rates

Challenge

Before RoomRaccoon, W Algarve had no system for pricing updates – they did it all manually. This was incredibly time-consuming, leaving little opportunity to focus on other aspects of the business.

Solution

Using RoomRaccoon’s Yield Manager, W Algarve no longer had to worry about this aspect of the business. This tool allowed them to set yield rules that would automatically adjust prices in accordance with existing demand. And with RoomRaccoon’s integrated Channel Manager, they are able to update their rates across all relevant OTAs from a single platform.
